Das vollelektronische Messgerät ermöglicht auf sehr einfache und sichere Art und Weise das Prüfen der im Zahnriemengetriebe eingestellten Vorspannkraft. Spezielle Sensoren erfassen einseitig die Schwingung eines vorher angeregten Zahnriemens und das Gerät ermittelt deren Eigenfrequenz. Dabei erlauben die optischen Sensoren einen relativ großen Messabstand zwischen Sensor und Riemen. Somit ist das Gerät sehr gut an die Bedingungen von Fertigung und Montage angepasst. über das physikalische Grundprinzip einer Saitenschwingung stehen die Vorspannkraft und die Eigenfrequenz des Riementrums im Zusammenhang,
so dass sich aus der gemessenen Frequenz sehr einfach und schnell die zugehörige Trumvorspannkraft berechnen lässt.

BRECO^®Measuring Device TSM alpha 1

The fully electronic measuring instrument enables the controlling of the set-up pre-tension in tooth-belt drives in a very easy and secure way. Special sensors register the vibration of a tooth-belt that has been stimulated in advance. The instrument registers the belt’s self-frequency. The light insensitive sensors allow for a relatively high measuring distance between the sensor and the belt. For this reason the instrument is very well adjusted to production and installation/assembly conditions. Using the basic physical principle of a string vibration, thepre-tension and self-frequency of the belt are connected with each other. It is therefore an easy and fast task to calculate the belt’s pre-tension according to the measured frequency.

To measure the frequency

1. Turn „OFF“ the machine

2. Stick the sensor to the USB interface

3. Press „ON/OFF“ switch-key

4. Use the de??ned swinging-capable belt-length

5. Hold sensor head over the belt at about the middle of the strand length and on

a distance to round about 20 mm

6.Adjust belt to de??ned length (see „Machine Adjustment“) Strike belt sharply at

about the middle of the strand length. The device is announcing all successful

measurements by an acoustical sign. As long as there will be successful measure

ments the device is announcing new results

7.To verify the measurement, strike belt sharply once again

8.Press the „ON/OFF“ switch-key to turn off the sensor head

More indications

1. The appliance switches off after 3 minute if no measurement is taken

2. If there is no display, this may be because the vibration of the belt is too low

(select a more suitable belt length)

3.The appliance will work correctly until a minimum voltage of 1.8 V is reached.

The battery level is shown for approx. 1 sec. at the beginning of all

switch-ON procedures

4.Is on the display „BAT“, the battery level is smaller than 1.8 V and the batteries

must be changed. Only use 1.5 V batteries type Micro AAA
